MESSAGE: I've always wondered why some games start at 6:15? It often is confusing when most weeknight games start at 6:00. And now, with darkness coming earlier and earlier, this doesn't make any sense at all. We had a game earlier this week on an already overcast day and by 7:00 there was very poor visibility and the game was still going on. Personally hoping all weekday games can be scheduled for 6:00 next season unless there is a good explanation why 6:15 is sometimes the case. Thanks!

The question that was asked was are games scheduled to start at 6:15 PM.

The thought behind that decision is that it would allow teams traveling, say Dublin to Newark, sufficient time to get to the game.

It should be pointed out that all of the games in the U-13 and U-14 age groups, (the longest games), were scheduled by the teams not by the MOSSL office.

One site to visit to help with scheduling is www.sunrisesunset.com. It also helps in the spring when scheduling practices.

Originally it was designed to help teams rural club teams have a better chance of having their players make it for the kickoff when traveling.
