Boys U14 Silver get's a 2 - 1 win this weekend vs. USA Dominguez

The U14 Boys Crew Silver team earned an impressive win on Sunday vs. the USA Dominguez team. The team played really well and was able to move the ball around as Eric DeJong was able to put a good low shot on goal, and Ian Grohman redirected the ball past the goalkeeper to put the Crew up 1 - 0 in the in the 16th minute of play. Later in the 24th minute of play it was Nick Proefke that beat his man at midfield on the dribble, and then out worked another defender inside the 18" yard box. Nick was able to get a shot on goal, when the goalkeeper made the save but Nick was able to follow the shot up and put it past the goalkeeper this time for a 2 - 0 lead for the Crew. In the second half the Crew would give up an early goal off of a corner kick and then would have several opportunities to score but where unable to put one away. The Crew would hold on to their lead with the final score 2 - 1. Congratulations guys on a hard fought game.
